A little advice on comp cut and stretch
i had a set of the procomp extreme a/t's. they were on my f150 and did great ofroad for an a/t tire. they wont outlast a bfg a/t but they will out-perform them on the trails. I had about 10 miles on the extreme's and they still looked new. I would definetly buy them again for a daily driver. even though i just bought trxus m/t's for my daily. I felt i had to go with a tougher looking tire on my 4 door. Not too many people in my town with a 4dr not driving the kids to soccer games, I just had to stand out a little. Good luck with your project. Its gonna cost you a hefty chunck but it will be sweet!

If you want a longer Jeep wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a four door, fill in the back two doors, add a folding front passenger seat, and modify the top adding two rear windows or one long window. I would be curious to what it would look like.
That has been done. And that's not the point of what I am trying to do here.
modding a 4dr would not produce the same result. As said before, the departure angle of the streched jeep would be far better. i would also bet the the stretch wouldnt be quite as far as a 4dr, thus reducing the high center problem that the 4dr has. of course it would be easier to mod a 4dr but definetly not the same end product

As the price subject goes...It's not all that bad IMO anyways. I bought the X instead of the Rubi for a reason.
I am in the same situation here. I am looking for corners as well. While I was home on leave I called in to Gen Right. They said they had a full line of JK corners and tube fenders coming out in mid/late Nov. Fingers crossed!
