TruTracs are great. Not as good as a Detroit for wheels-in-the-air stuff, of course, but if you ever get into that situation, just add a little brake pressure to help transfer power.

I started with a pair of Detroits. Living in Colorado with weekly trips up to the ski areas on icy/snowy freeways, I found that I wasn't nearly as fond of the Detroits as I had been in the summer months. Pulled the front and ran with a TT/Detroit combo for a while. Ended up blowing up the rear end, and replaced it with another TT. Better road manners, and much better on winter roads. Doesn't compare to the Detroit offroad, but it's not supposed to. The TT is what it is, by far the best limited you will find.

I've ran a similar setup for years on snow and ice and have yet to see this happen, TTs don't require the wheel to spin before they start to shift torqe to the wheel with better traction, it's pretty much instant and unnoticeable
