Default Long Term Impact

For those of you who installed aftermarket fender flares, did you re-install the factory liners? Esp those of you in tougher climates.

I didn't install mine due to both being somewhat lazy and also not remembering what the hell i did with the mounting hardware.

I'm wondering if i'm asking for trouble long term since here in New England the winters are obviously pretty crappy and a lot of slush, sand, salt, etc, is probably being thrown up into the engine bay.

Thoughts?

Thanks i was wondering myself since I had Poison Spyder flares done f/r and could not re-use the inners for rear. Had been agonizing over what to do back there.

I installed the fronts due to keeping the engine bay as clean as possible but left the rears out and bed lined them. Constant dirt and rain splashing in there will not play nice with wire connections and my CAI.

Performance accessories makes a "gap guard" kit for JKs that have a 1"-2" body lift. $80 from Quadratec. They are made of urethane. When installed correctly no way you would ever know you had a body lift. You can't tell on mine and to me not only does it look great, I keep the mud, snow and salt out of the engine bay. It's personnal preference. I can take a few pics if you want to see?
