To all the haters I present you P_Nasty's JK. This is Bad ass-

I love these threads. Man asks a ?, and everyone who doensnt like his idea chimes in and gives their .02. This guy wants to be different and make his JK look like what he wants. He's f-ing paying for it, get off his case. It amazes me that if you dont put soft 8's or any other black steel wheel on your jk, your a mall crawling poser. Amazing.

"Should have bought a Hummer," come on man, you gotta do better than that.

Go for it man, it will look awesome. Glad to see your thinking outside the box. Welcome to the Jeep family. I am sure your feeling the love.

I'll leave you with this-

Nice job Scott

I think I have that same rim/tire combo on my wife's tahoe. I will see if I can post a picture of it, later today. Regardless on what anybody says, if you get it done - I would like to see a picture of it.

Bad Andy,

Please dont put anything bigger than 18" wheels on your jeep.

The bright side = (1) 18" tires are way less expensive than 20" tires.
(2) You wont get flamed for having DUBS.
(3) You will regret 18's less, especially after seeing some of
bad ass jeeps on jk-forum.

PS: The jk in the pic above this post is bad ass, but he has 40's.

PSS: If you decide to go with the 20's, go for it. As stated in a post above, its your Jeep, its your money.

LOL

believe me I aint offended, I actually got a good laugh from from it all, thats why I asked the question, you all have way more knowledge than I about these beasts,

ok seriously, if the rim to tire ratio is bad with 20's (they are a steal of a price on 4wd.com by the way $100 a piece) then I guess 18 is the way to go with 35's

the pics posted by JKJosh is what I'm after, 40's are quite outta my league where the 35's arent, I just picked those rims do to they look good and not at a crazy price

I guess I gotta do more reading on here and ask more questions

thanks for all your feedback

Playing devil's advocate here:

Name another current production convertible-top SUV. Bonus points if it comes with easily removable doors.

If someone wants a convertible SUV there aren't that many choices.

Maybe because a lifted Jeep just looks great!

Now that's funny..... and a bit true! Even though I drive an unlimited, I'm not offended. The way a lot of people look at Jeeps has changed......I miss the old ways but, to each his own.

Really man 35's on 18's will look pretty sick on an unlimited w/ at least a 2.5" lift.
If you're not gonna wheel it, Rough Country makes a good cheap budget boost.
Get the shock extenders and find some trackbar brackets for the front and rear. (Teraflex)
Then you'll have a bad ass mall crawler! That can wheel if you so desire.
