does it really matter why i want 6".
Nope, it's your ride, you should set it up the way you want it.

But, you came here for advice, so that's what you're getting...

"Quote" and having lift does increase ground clearance (at least for the frame anyway)
so i could drive over trees, since you drive over them perpendicular rather than try to grind them like a skateboard to a handrail.

That's what I said...with measurements....

"Quote" i really dont intend on getting any bigger tires (i know it would look a lottle wierd having 6" of lift with little doughnuts as wheels) that makes it look a little more unique.

Post on here in a year when you get the bigger tires...it'll happen I bet...

i know you said it first sin i was just reinforcing it.

other than that im trying to find some of the parts that will fit me.
i might drop down to the 4" lift by full traction would i still need different driveshafts or anything? if so which ones? im not sure how to shop for that specific part.

and looking on quadratech i found ox lockers but not ones that would seem to fit my stock axles, i have the 4:10 diffs btw.. i saw one for a dana44 but it diddnt say it was compat with 07 year just 06 and earlier, same with the front axle.

anyway, the lift is looking like its gonna be just under $4000 with shocks, the lockers im guessing anywhere between $700 to $900, im not sure about the driveshafts yet, and as far as tires go im looking at 5 of these which would total about $1000. (16" rims)

Mr. warlord, step back and ask yourself if you're REALLY gonna push the limits of that Jeep with a 6" lift and everything that goes along with it. If you're REALLY honest with yourself, you'll probably say no. IF that's the case, why not save a ton and get something like the Teraflex 2.5" coil lift? You'll get a good bit more than 2.5" out of it, and room for 35" tires. With that and all the other small stuff that goes along with it, you can probably put that rig anywhere you want it, and save a ton.

x2 on the tf lift. I would recommend a smaller less expensive lift and maybe a little meatier tire. a bigger diameter tire would roll up and over logs a lot easier than a smaller one. It would be a less expensive way of getting breakover angle. That's the main thing you're looking for is running down a trail, rolling over a fallen tree and pressing on down the trail right? I have the TF BB2.5 w/shocks plus TF 2.5" coil springs up front. the rubicon factory 32"mt tires, and I get 14" of clearance. when I put on 35" tires I should gain around 3/4-1" of additional clearance. so say 15". When I lived in eastern NM we used to go out and crawl over rocks and ledges in the caprock and on the trails near Lubbock and Amarillo. Did really well for the setup I have. And lets say I were to drive over a log that was 18" tall and got hung up and I was alone. Hi-lift the ass end unlit the front wheels were touching the ground on the other side of the log and pull the rest of the jeep over. Or remove the log with my MS290 farmboss.
Sorry for ramblin on...
