Default looking for info on lifts

Hey guys, just ordered my 2012 JKUR on thurs and want to have a gift waiting for it when it comes home. I want to do a lift almost right out of the box before the snow comes. I just have a few questions before i pull out the visa.
What is a good lift for 35's that requires the least about of modification and provides smoothest daily driver ride. I will offroad but mostly on beaches and flat land trails with mud and some rocks; nothing crazy. I drive about 40 miles a day and need to have some comfort lol. I'm trying to keep the cost low but don't want to worry about long term damage to my JK due to me not buying the appropriate components. So from what I can gather so far, i think i am comfortable doing 2.5-3in suspension lift and if i am not happy i can always add body lift down the road. i get mixed info about whether i will need flex arms, steering dampers, etc.. what size/brand lift will i need the least amount of components, and can keep it safe without bad pinion angles and death wobbles. I want to add dura tracs to the stock wheels for atleast the winter and possibly permanently. I hear TF with bilstein upgrade is a great lift but may still need additional parts. What price range am i lookin at for a conservative lift out the door? Can i see some JKU's with 2.5" and 35's, please?
Sorry if it sounds choppy but i was distracted while typing this. Thanks guys!

what else did you have to buy besides the basic lift package? or was that enough to last you for a while?

Tons of info on lifts on here. I have a rough country 2.5 suspension lift. Came with coils, shocks, rear track bar relocation bracket. It's thought of as a low end lift. It works and better ride than stock. Fits 35"s. was $300-350.

If you got the budget a TeraFlex seems to be very popular. About twice as much. Seems like most kits come with everything you need. 2.5 lift is usually the easiest lift to fit 35" and to not have driveline issues. Some folks will tell you that if you have the budget go taller. Do some searches. Look at pics and get what you want.

Before and after.

I just put Full Traction's 3" Ultimate lift on my JKUR and I love it. Actually this is my 2nd FT Ultimate lift. Had it on my 07 as well. It's straight bolt on an very easy to do and the instructions are actually really good. It's a great size for running 35's. Also they have options between the ultra, premium, and ultimate depending on what you want to spend. It's all the same kit but one comes with lower arms, the other upper arms and the ultimate is both.

Can't say enough good things about them and Chris at FT was very helpful getting me what I needed. Keep in mind at 3" you will need to swap you front driveshaft if you're taking it off road. At full droop the stock shaft will hit the exhaust. If you aren't going to be doing trails that need full articulation you might be fine.

Almost forgot to mention you can get the FT lift with Bilstein 5100's.

Hopefully that all makes sense. If not I blame the beer.

Heres my before and after:

I have the 3" teraflex coil lift with the 4 flex arms...... I added a beefier track bar and steering stabilizer. Gave me almost 4" I believe I added spacers/ pucks to level out my front end.... On 35" Mickey MTZ tires

If you do a 2.5 lift, you will need flat fenders for 35s. Search for planman's write ups. He does minimal lift and mods for biggest tires.

At that height on a 2012, you'll need to do something to prevent the front driveshaft from making contact with the exhaust cross pipe.

A thinner aftermarket driveshaft will give you a little more room. Teraflex also makes some exhaust spacers to address this.

I agree with the Full Traction choice. I got the 3" Premium Plus w/ 5100 Bilstein's and a JE Reel front ds. Won't have to dick around with the exhaust pipe crossover issue.

Chris and Steve @ Full Traction rocked. Answered all my questions and explained how everything worked over several phone calls.
