NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first 60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON or START position. The manufacturer does not recommend deactivating the Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert).

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and buckle the driver or front passenger seat belt.

2. Turn the ignition key to the ACCESSORY/RUN position (engine does not need to be running), and wait for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.

3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver or front passenger seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt buckled.

4. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be reactivated by repeating this procedure.

NOTE: Although the Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) has been deactivated, the Seat Belt Warning Light will continue to illuminate while the driver’s seat belt remains unfastened.

Here is a video on how to take out out. I haven't tried it yet but was doing some research one day:

On the 2011 and 12's there is a little notch at about one-o'clock you have to insert a small flat bladed screwdriver in and pry gently down while twisting the vent counter-clockwise then out. (See photos)

With your 2011, you have to stick a screw driver in the vent at about the 1 o'clock position and then quarter turn to the left. There is a video on YouTube.

Sorry, didn't scroll down and see the above post lol!

What kind of paint are you guys using to paint your vents? I don't want something flat. I want to go with a white/red or yellow. Haven't decided yet.

I'm using duplicolour Honda clover green auto paint from Canadian tire, I've used it on all the steering components, and all different kinds of plastic and it looks awsome, nice and smooth and shiney I would recommend it, just get a touch up style paint they are a lot stronger

Thanks!!

Have you tried Ice synthetic wax or Mcguires Back to Black? I used the Ice on my '08 Corolla and it worked wonders with the black plastic.
