Thanks! It took me 3 days. The taping off took me and my gf forever. It was a PITA, but after a lot of work it came out really well.

I heard about this so many times it never occured to me they might have fixed it so I drilled them right after I got it

I took my OE mirrors off (2011) and there is small notch in the bottom, but it is a poor excuse for a weep-hole. I still go the dribbles. Possible that drilling another hole would help release the air and it would drain better, but I didn't bother. If I ever mount them back up, I'll drill a second hole.

My 08 has the same notch. It gets clogged by the foam pad and dirt and creates the slow leak problem. I noted the small hole I drilled was starting to get dirt in it too. Might be a good idea to clear the hole with a needle when you wash.

Well... I had drilled the hole in my 2008 and it didn't seem to fix things all that great. Maybe a bigger hole was in order. In any event, Problem solved by removing the mirrors altogether.

Did this to my new 12 JKU after 3 days of rain, amazed at how much water came out, should have done it as soon as I got it not 2weeks later
