I've got the Bestop trail cover and it fits very well with them.

Here is a pic for reference. If you figure out a way to add another half inch of threads these mirrors would be golden.

You can see the passenger side mirror perfectly with the long arm mirrors.

U could probably Polish down that lip on a grinding wheel then thread it higher and add a but to the top of the threads since u will no longer have a stop

Not a bad idea. I could then fab a new stop out of a washer and heavy duty epoxy.

This is a mirror from O'Riellys with a little bend in it. One bolt, one wingnut and everyone's favorite bedliner. I just throw it under the back seat when it's not being used.
Looking like this will be the route I'm going including the bedliner. Seems like the most inexpensive way to get the job done. I just want something that lasts a year or so until I get tube doors.

I have the long stem ones too. If you center the mirror in the hinge and twist the acorn counterclockwise to get the threads to line up, then tighten it, you should be able to get it threaded just fine.
