MPRB Exhaust some issues and overall writeup
I ordered the exhaust from Northridge, they have excellent customer service and prices i am very happy with their service.
For performance, i noticed a much stronger pull from 2nd to 3rd(she was already pretty strong from first to second) I am very happy with the added HP/TQ
For sound, i am VERY happy. It sounds great when you start it, at low RPM and WOT, without drone or exessive noise at highway speeds. exactly what i was looking for.
For fitment i had a few issues, two of the hangers are too long. I am not happy with the slip design(i prefer bolts and gaskets) due to leaking issues (pictures included).
After the initial test run i had a lot of pinging sounds coming from the exhaust i isolated them from 3 different places.
I had to cut one of the hangars away from the body frame and for now i am not cutting the second because i think with the move i did on the system it wont rub any more, but with the move on the system in caused my e-brake line to melt so i had to screw a bracket into the body that keeps it out of the way.

I also wondered why the factory Y pipe is so close to the frame, the engine TQs the other way so its not a big issue but there is like 1/4 inch of clearance....

Was this the stock location exhaust or the off road exhaust?
I ordered a stock location exhaust and it should arrive tomorrow. I'm out of town this weekend so I won't be able to install it until next week. But I'm going to be none too happy if there are fitment issues.
I've installed cat-backs on nearly all my vehicles (SLP, Borla, Magnaflow, Apexi, and Invidia). I've never had a single fitment issue before.

To address these comments...The hanger on the front pipe is difficult to keep off both the frame rail and transfer case. Too short and it could slide out, too long it hits one or the other.
All of our systems are the slip joint style and they will seal up completely after a few thousand miles. We DO NOT recommend welding these exhausts as it makes it difficult to take them apart in the event of a warranty claim. The condensation dripping from the joints is normal.
Sometimes the system does require a little tweaking after a few heat cycles, and the e-brake lines do need to be bent up and out of the way. The bracket holding them to the floor of the Jeep can be bent and we've never had any issues with installs done in house.
Glad you like the new sound and feel of your JK. Let me know if you have any further questions about fitment.

I still think yall should shorten the hanger in the front and the one at the very end by about 1/2 an inch. I think you should either lengthen the one right after the large U bend or weld small tips at the end of every hangar (which is what I am probably going to do myself)
ALSO thank you for the info about it sealing up after 1000 miles or so I figured a few heat cycles and I would tighten them again before I put that muffler gook stuff that makes a good seal (but a PITA if you ever want to take it off).
I started by bending the ebrake line up with the stock wire thingie (have no idea what to call that thing) but it was more efficient to use another bracket to hold it, IMO.
Again I love the sound and HP/TQ, i am just used to different setups. And although I am new to jeeps, im pretty experienced with exhaust. ever take an up-pipe out of a wrx? its a major pain!
I would still like to know why the Y-pipe is so close from the factory??? It seems like I could modify the mid-pipe and have the hangar "assist" in keeping it further away. My buddy said the engine tq's the other way so its on an issue under load, i just thought it was pretty weird that they put that plate so close.

2. And yeah, those WRX uppipes are a pain in the ass! I did it on 2 WRXes that I had before. the 08's were SO much easier.
Also - my pipes sealed up after about 1000 miles. after 2500 miles, the sound reaches its full deep tone.
can you believe that the cobb stage 2 tune with just a new downpipe and 291HP 400TQ(engine) about 230hp/325tq to the wheels. thats freeking CRAZY! i just cant modify a car with 1500miles on it that much lol!
