Nitto mud grapplers. They are loud but I love the sound. Have worked awesome on the rocks.
Outstanding in the mud. I DD mine with them and at the rate I'm going I will probably get 35k outta them.

Are you looking for the best tire in the mud, or a good mud tire that will last on the street? There is a tradeoff here..

I'm not planning on using them on the street, but I have to drive on street for a while before getting to the trail.

Default Firestone Destination Mt

I was running 35" Red Letter General Grabbers and really liked them. I was able to get a great deal on 315/70/17 Firestone Destination mt from work so I jumped on it. I never had any problem with the grabbers offroad but these Firestones have much more control, I was really surprised. Nobody in the Jeep world ever seems to give these tires any props? I work at a Firestone store and see heavy diesel trucks come in with these on them and these guys are getting 60-70k out of them so I'm hoping I'll be able to do the same...and they are every bit as aggressive as the nitto trail grappler or toyo MT, have nice big voids and cleaned themselves out nicely the last time i took them out. Another really nice looking MT is the yokohama but i never hear anybody talking about those either?

I love my BFGs. They are pretty easy to find since they are stock on the rubi.

I've heard a lot of good things about these tires. However, they are one of the heaviest tires out there, if not THE heaviest. Those and the Nitto are known to be heavy and more suitable for a full sized truck. Probably be fine if your not rock crawling, but definitely something to take into consideration.

The BFG KM2 is one of the lightest, but has weak sidewall. Not the best for wheeling in the rocks.

Naaaa I have a sport JKU with d30 and d44 with 4.56 gears. All do is rock crawl and no problems at all with my 35" Grapplers.

X2^^^ I love the Duratracs. Perfect combination of M/T style outer lugs with sidewall tread and A/T style inner treads for on pavement, low noise driving; and the treads are siped for slippery/ wet terrain. I wouldn't use anything else.
