Ok. It looked to me like you asked about the "best mud tire"". Now the last time I went to a mud bog. I saw tires like this. I've had these tires and they are "mud tires". Yep there heavy and they make a lot of noise and they are harder to balance. But they are made for the mud. Guess what. They do very good on the rocks too.

Of course the swampers would be great in the mud.....my claws were pretty good too and weren't quite as heavy. The boggers are where I want to end up

Dick cepek mud country. Had them on for a while. Too rough on the street. They're a beast in the mud. I also jumped a curb doing 50 and no damage or blowouts. These things are great.

If I had extra coin. I would have sprung for the SSR in a 35/10.5 flavor.

The BFG KM2 is one of the lightest, but has weak sidewall. Not the best for wheeling in the rocks.
I liked them a lot but in reality it's not really a mud tire-more of a baja tire and doesn't clean itself out in the thick mud, it was really nice on the road but the Firestone Destination Mt is awesome in mud

I have Wrangler MT/R's with Kevlar, 35's. They are not all that noisy and ride nice. I like that noise of mud tires though so maybe they are noisy and I just enjoy the hum.Click image for larger version

I have had several sets of the BFG Mud Terrains on my Jeeps through the years and I love them. They wear good and give great traction. My current Rubicon has the Goodyear MTR's with the Kevlar and I hate them! They don't give as good traction on all surfaces and are as loud as hell. Never had a BFG sound this loud! I will go back to BFG's when I can.

I likea da KM2 kool-aid also. On my second set-granted it was the CLEAR winner in the 285/75/17 size I needed.
