Muffler Location Question
Two questions:
1) Can I mount a Flowmaster Super 44 close to the evap canister on a 2DR safely? Looks like it would be cutting it close....
If not then:
2)Anyone mounted a flowmaster (or similar) muffler in the stock location, but higher up and more out of the way?
I'd like some pics and may a bit of a write-up.
I'd want to show the exhaust shop how to do it...so it is at least better than the factory's enormous rock magnet.
Thanks!!!

My 2 cents on muffler location is this. The muffler, no matter where it is, makes noise. This is a normal function of the muffler cancelling out noise waves. They ALL do it, you just usually cannot hear the stock mufflers. If you like your Jeep nice and QUIET on the inside, moving a muffler under the driver seat, you WILL notice some noise. How much, completely depends on the type muffler you choose. Some can live with a little noise, some cannot. I like it pretty quite in my Jeep......even though I particularly like the CoolTech exhaust. The fact that it moves the muffler under the driver seat, has me worried. I wish I had someone kinda close by so I could drive it and see.
