I don't have a sound clip unfortunately. But honestly I drove this Jeep around the Mojave desert a couple of weeks and the exhaust sound was low on a 2 door JK. I was able to hear the stereo at a decent volume and not too worried about an overly loud exhaust.

You should be VERY careful ! Because of the CO2 coming into the cabin IF standing still or moving very slow.

That pipe is way short. You need it to be longer so the Co2 can exit behing your Jeep.

Please: FIX it. I had PERSONAL experience with SHORT tail pipes :!:
You can hurt little Kids in the Jeep. Or EVEN KILL Poison them.

He's right. I had the same problem on my old K-10. The letout was right under the cab and everyday I drove it I got home with a killer headach....My Dad drove it one day and told me that was causing my headachs, so I ran longer pipes and never had the problem again.

Of course a JK will never spill out as much C02 and the built 454 that was in the K-10, but its still not a good idea to have the letout under the cab.

Look this Magnaflow review, it's what I'm running currently, no complaints...

I saw that Magnaflow offers a relocated kit now, all stainless, but it uses a round muffler & not an oval style like I would prefer...wish it did though.

Here's a link to the kit I'm referring too...

Very similar to what I got, but mine is a cheaper alt.

Removal of stock assembly, add the Magnaflow part number I listed and get your muffler shop to custom bend a new pipe. If you're looking for an idea of what it entails, take a look at the MBRP design. Don't quote me but rumor had it that the first batch were Magnaflow exhaust with custom bends.

If you're partial to the oval type muffler, use the same concept. I find the round options are completely protected by the frame rails if you really beat on your rig.

I think you mean CO (Carbon Monoxide). I've been running with mine like that for a while with no ill affects. I can't smell the exhaust inside running down the road, sitting in traffic or crawling down a trail. On old carbureted cars without the emissions installed maybe you could smell it and build up enough to hurt yourself but CO is 40% heavier than air so if you have your cats in place and the tip is pointed down it's not going to migrate up into the vehicle. If it does there should be less than 1% CO in the exhaust. If you ride with the rear window open I would think you would stand a much larger risk of buildup in the cab.

I have the Borla ProXS that measures almost identical to the Flowmaster 40 series. I went with the offset in/center out configuration and it fit nicely.

Sound isn't as loud as the FM 40 either. Actually, this is probably one of the quieter performance mufflers you'll find.

Carbon Monoxide is slightly lighter than air and by itself is colorless and odorless. Combined with other exhaust gasses it is a lethal combination. Having the exhuast terminate prior to exiting the rear of the vehicle is dangerous and foolish. We all know that JEEPS are not air-tight. Chronic exposure to low levels can be very serious. Rapid exposure is deadly and can happen quickly.
