i have the flowmaster super44 and love it except for a kind of annoying drone around 2500-3000 rpm......might add a resonator in line under drivers seat.

Why do you put the muffler back on if it helps the gas mileage?

I've always been a fan of Flomaster mufflers, and figured I'd by the FM kit and bolt it on....until I saw the price! $500.00+ just wasn't in my budget.

So I bought the Series 40 muffler, some mandrel bends, a band clamp, and 3/8" rod, and started fabricating. I liked the looks of FM's JK hangers, so I pretty much just copied their kit, and it worked out great for me, all for under $130.00 and about 6 hours in the shop.

I have the Banks Monster exhaust and intake. The exhaust sounds great once it breaks in. (very quiet til the glass packing breaks in) Quiet at idle and very aggressive on acceleration and under load, and does not sound like a pissed off weed eater like these POS imports that are loud as hell but have the horsepower of my riding mower
