I have 35's with a 1.5" RK triple coil lift (actually gives just over 2" in front and 1.5" in back) with flat fenders and I think it is going to be perfect. headed to moab for the 3rd time end of February so should get a work out. low center of gravity with decent articulation (91" up a 34 degree ramp before spinning a tire at 28psi) and room for the 35's with decent clearance. will it win the KOH? nope but should do pretty good for what I do and my wife can still get in it at 5'3" lol.

Backspacing question... I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some wheels and tires... She's a '14 JKURX with a 2.5" RK max travel kit and fox 2.0's. The wheels are the xd811's (rockstar 2) in 18x9 with 35x12.50 trail grapplers. I was also looking at the xd822 (monster 2). The back spacing on both of these is . The stickie said net max backspacing of 4.5 for a 35x12.50. Is anyone running xd anythings in 18x9 with 35x12.50 and a similar size lift? Will these rub? Pics would be nice.

Any more lift and you will need longer shocks, brake lines, front lower control arms, and an adjustable front trackbar.

Thumbs up Thanks for the great info.

Awesome read. Glad I found this thread before I started a new one. I am thinking this thread has talked me out of even lifting my Rubi all together. The majority 99% of the driving is on road anyway. I always just thought it looked "cool" to have it lifted. Thanks for saving me THOUSANDS of dollars. Once again awesome read for those just beginning to try to understand.

If you do all that which I did on a one lift 4 inches is my travel up or down any greater? I had to do it any way because the front warn bumper and winch pretty much collapsed my from springs till there was only 1/2 of space above the bump stops.

After reading most of this thread> I am still confused as to how you get more travel both up and down and which lift kits if any actually accomplish this.
