Need discussion, D44 Riddlers and fluid level
Ok,
After installing my front riddler cover yesterday and not reading this thread first I have some questions and measurements.
If I did the measuring correctly there is about a 2.3 inch difference from the bottom of the riddler fill hole and the bottom of the stock cover fill hole. I used the zip tie dipstick method and came out with 2.3 inches from riddler fill hole to oil level.
Anyone who has a riddler cover want to use the ziptie dipstick method and measure to see if I am correct. I used WOL's amount but now I am thinking that it is not enough.

Use the zip tie to check the level of the oil as compared to about 1/4" above the bottom of the axle. Step-by-step:
- Bend the zip tie 90 degrees about 4 inches up. You just need to make sure there's enough length to go from the fill hole to the bottom of the axle.
- Put the zip tie in the fill hole up to the 90 degree bend. Remove.
- Place the zip tie against the diff cover so the 90 degree bend is at the bottom of the fill hole and eyeball the oil level. Just above the bottom of the axle is just about perfect.

My Riddler Front Diff cover has been installed for a week now, and has puked out the breather off and on for the whole week.
Will this cause any damage if I just let it “self level”, other than the environmental issues?
