IMO it would be a pain to fully remove it. You can easily slide the side window panels out which opens up the back. The liftgate, you could take off but it takes two people because there are screws/nuts that have to be undone and it's difficult without three hands. I don't feel it's really designed to work that way despite what BesTop may say. Maybe on rare occasion but it's certainty not something I'D want to do all the time. The top fabric wouldn't be too bad. The two bars that connect the sunrider portion have two spring loaded pins that you would release, undo the tension cables and then the rest is velcro. Again, in my opinion, it's not really designed for it, but it certainly can be done.

For someone like me who just flips the top back 99% of the time, I think this top is great. For someone who prefers full down all the time, there is no way I could recommend this top to them.

So in that 3rd photo are those pockets where the water pools up, or is it just in that channel?

How is the header seal along the windshield? In the 5th photo it looks even going across, but a little raised. Just wanted your opinion on the watertight seal. Do you hear any wind noise (from this area), it looks it may be raised a little bit in the photo

It's just the channel. The pockets are inside with the top closed. The last pic in the first picture post shows it pretty well. Also in that post you can see the gap between the channel and the windshield. That's where the water problem comes from. If that was extended a little bit farther forward, it wouldn't be so much of an issue.

The header seal is great. There is no wind noise and no moisture that I have noticed. In the pic I took with the top closed, it isn't latched. I just flopped it forward for the pic.

My only complaint I have so far with mine is just how much water the top retains when it gets wet. I would worry more if I lived in an area that had really high humidity and where things don't dry very fast. I would fear mildew.

At first I thought this was perhaps the dumbest top I had seen especially considering the cost and the lack of removability. But your description of why you need it makes sense. While it's not for me, it is a good option for those people that never take off the hard top but want an easier freedom panel.
