Default New jK

Hey guys,
Got a quick question.
New to me 2010 JK with mercenary dealer added. Mods with 325/65r18, hard top with two sunroofs, winch and custom bumpers.

My big issue I would like to fix is that going down the highway with any kind of minor incline and I jump back out of OD with cruise on set a 70 mph.

What is the best/ safest mod to fix this issue?

Tuner via OBDII?

Thanks. I just am confused that reading about how I can't improve the airflow with a CAI.

Tires too large for the gearing you have. Added weight from winch and bumpers doesn't help either. You'll need to regear if you want OD back. Do you know what your gearing is?

With a 4" lift what wouldn't look retarded?

Can I get by with a tuner?

If you want your power back and for the jeep to stop jumping in and out of OD ur only fix is to regear, supercharge or hemi. Chips and CIAs won't make a difference that will fix what regearing will.

You need at least a 4.88 with the 3.8 and 35's if u want to fix ur OD issue. You may gain some MPG with regearing but it's not going to be much. If your worries are about ur MPG take ur lift off and go back to stock.

What is avg cost for re-gearing to 4.86? Easy with a Dana 44 ad Dana 30?

you'll want to regear to at least 4.88, i have 2010, 35's, 4.88. ran stock 4.10 for almost a year and glad i changed to 4.88 - OD lockout works great when needed.

avg cost?? call around to your local Jeep shops, avg varies from state to state, in TX i found from $900-1500 per axle - you want someone that knows what they are doing.

some will try to cut cost by reusing parts - since it's a 2010, you should make sure price includes master rebuild kits for front and rear.

hope this helps, good luck!

I just got a quote from a place near my house in Magnolia Tx (Houston). 1600 front and rear with 4.56 or 4.88. Add 1100 if I wanted true tracs front and rear. I didn't think that was a bad out the door price from what I've seen.

Where should I buy my gears from. I think I can get them at dealer price. Also will this void my warranty? I have 17k on the jeep. Still under the 36 month / 3 yr
