Prototype completed and tested in Moab last week. A couple of really minor adjustments before going to production. Should be on the Tuffy web site in a couple of days.

I don't totally understand what you are saying. Im not familiar with the Tuffy unit, but have found when I was looking for something for the back of my JK, I wanted a unit that would fill up the whole space if possible. With no rear seats in, I wanted something that would fill the gap behind the front seats as well as the back.
If this is what you are describing, I would be very interested in it.

Default Tuffy

Tuffy is not producing an answer to the design i wanted in the beining of this thread. If you check out their website it is listed under the jk. It encloses the back and uses the tailgate to lock the back.

I personally like the design since you can easily dissasemble it and looks fairly secure.
