new wheels and lug stud worries...
I just bought a set of procomp 7032 alloys for the jeep. When i was checking the fitment of them, i noticed my lug studs were very short and it didnt seem like the lug nuts would have much to bite on. Originally the jeep had the stock 16" steel wheels on it that were very thin. Maybe the jeeps with alloys on from the factory have longer studs? I really don't want to swap all of my studs out for longer ones as it would be costly. I was surprised by this problem because I had never heard of anyone running into such an issue. any ideas

Does any of the new lugnut go into lug hole of the new wheel or does it rest totaly on the outside of lug hole? The lugnuts on the ET mags on my mustang go into the lug hole to grip more threads. Maybe spacers might be a solution.
Your lug nuts should have a taper which will seat the wheel and center it on the hub, unless they are hubcentric. The lug nuts will still have a taper and bite on a few more threads. I just put new aftermarket wheels on my jeep and I didnt notice if the studs seemed too short. However, I do know the lug nuts threaded on normally. Just do some more research and I bet someone will come along shortly to give you some more advice.
Thanks guys!
I was using the stock lug nuts so Im going to try new ones and see if that does the trick. Any other ideas guys? I'm trying to get this done by this Saturday so any more ideas are appreciated.

And for future ref I've learned
1) our jk are so new that you can only get new lugs at the dealer, not the auto parts store (ask me how I know-installer using impact wrench when installing)
2) they make a large selection of after mkt lug nut u can get at parts store. Ont only do they have the kind with tapered ends, but they make some that have 1/2 inch of front thread, THEN tapers for even deeper bite onto the lug. This helps if u have wheels with odd offsets
