For a mild lift, you really can't go wrong with the Rancho 2" sport kit. That's the way I went, and I couldn't be happier. 400 buck with the mail in thing, and I got 4 RS9000XL shocks, front coil springs, rear spacers, and a brake line drop bracket. I got more than the advertised lift, which REALLY made me happy. With my winch, it leveled it out nicely and brought it up high enough to stuff my 33's safely. There are bad reviews on this lift from various people, almost 99% of which ordered the wrong kit, or they ordered it from somewhere like Amazon and they sent them the wrong kit. I ordered mine from a reputable dealer that deals with jeeps (Quadratec), and I got the right part first time around. Note that Rancho has some of the best customer service out there as well, which is a BIG deal for me. Took me and a buddy about 3 hours between beers to install it.

If you are new to jeeps, be for warned that just because you have a lift doesn't mean you can slap big tires on. You also may not like the aftermath of what problems that can create either. I only say that because you need to build your jeep around what you do with it. If it's just a toy, by all means go stupid on it and have fun. If it's your DD, you have some things to consider. I would say drive your jeep around stock. take it off road stock and see how it handles the things you normally would encounter. After some driving time, then pick your mods based on needs.
