Noob Looking for advice
I own a 2010 Jeep Rubicon, 2DR. This is my daily driver but I want to have a little more performance capabilities and high ground clearance with the best articulation I can get with out killing my daily drive to bad. I am only very rarely on the highway so its only local driving of about 10 - 15 mins one way is the most i drive at a time. My thoughts on the lift and tires, which is what i plan on trying to do with taxes this year, is to use Pit Bull Growler 35x14.5x17 tires. 3" lift. i will be using the LOD front and rear bumpers, so rear bumper carrier is not an issue for the tire. I will also be removing the stock wheel wells. Does this seem about the right size tire to shoot for with what I am trying to do, get good off road performance, mild crawling, and still not kill me on the road. Second question is any recommendations for a reasonably priced lift kit, and I want to purchase the entire kit, I want to buy one kit that includes everything I will need. Like I said, right now the Rubicon is stock I have done nothing performance related to it. Any advice you can give I would greatly appreciate.

The best and only solution would be to research and figure this stuff out on your own.
Since in the end, everything we do to our jeeps are subjective.

More or less the question I really need answered is brands of lift kits. I know rough country runs a pretty low price. But I am looking at all over performance, I dont want to have to replace stuff with in months of putting the money out, well unless i damage something but then that is a different story. Here is the lift kit I am most seriously considering 3.0" Long Arm JK Wrangler/Rubicon 2/4 DOOR from Full-Traction Suspension. I know there are members on this board who have far more experience then i do and am trying to prevent mistakes by taking in some knowledge.
There really isn't a wrong lift that you could choose. Whatever you go with, you will most likely be like the rest of us and be constantly upgrading or changing components. That is part of the fun of it. I recommend you start with a budget and work within it. I have a Rusty's 3.5 lift and really like it.
Full Traction, Teraflex, Rancho, EVO and Rough Country and others are active members and will answer any questions you have and make great products! The FT lift you mentioned is sick!
Right now you have lift envy.
it's common.

honestly, if you can afford to go the full traction long arm route, i would definitely recommend it. your ride on and off road will be sweet and really, you could easily get up on 37's with little effort if you so desire.
Damn that lift is awesome. But most likly over kill for what you want. BUT, over kill never hurt any one. too much
haha good luck with your build. Remember when you go over 3 inches or so on a 2 door your rear driveshaft doesnt like it at all. So that should go into your budget/ consideration when looking into lifts.

I look at it like this....you'll eventually want something different. Whether its bigger and badder or just you change the way you want to go with a project. I just finished doing my suspension and everything on my 4 door and I already want to start saving up to do a full EVO coilover set up. Look into suspensions that fit your needs and budget. Most of the big name companies have a pretty decent product. Just dont skimp on something that you probably shouldn't skimp on and you should be fine. Thats just my opinion and random 2 cents.

I don't know much about full traction but I personally pimp Rockkrawler every chance I get. The quality of their components is awesome and their customer service is in my opinion unmatched in this industry. I just called them to order an upper control arm for my lift. They asked what was wrong with it and I told them that my daughter wrecked my jeep and tore the front axle out from under it. I was calling to order a new one since I figured that an accident went well beyond what should be covered under their life time replacement guarrantee. They sent me a free arm. This is the 2nd jeep I have had the same lift under and and that is the only part I have had to replace. everything else I have ordered over the years has been additional parts. But to answer the main question, Your build looks good to me as a daily driver with the ability to do some serious offroading at the drop of a hat. I run a 3.5 mid arm with 37 Creepy Crawlers offroad and some 35 MT's for on road. The Jeep drives and handles better than stock. If you ever go to a larger tire than a 35, you may want to regear. But everything else sounds good
