KMHENRY77 was saying the bars hit the rock rails near the back door, not the back door. I'm a little confused though in how that happens though.

Default The Rear Doors

Mine if flipped in the up position hit the rubicon rock rail at the rear side doors. The mounts for the revesibars which are not moved whether the bars are in the up position or in the down position. I was told I could keep my original rock rails on and just install the reversibars and this is not the case. I am thinking about lifting the body 1" with a MORE kit. I am not sure how much is involved to install the kit. Olympic has not been responsive at all. We really like the bars since my wife is 5' tall it makes it easy for her to get in and out. I am over 6' and I can just step in. I really want to get them flipped up so I can fully utilize the Rubicon and see if the wife can still use them to get in and out. I would love to know if there is away to get the bolts out of the two ears on the body mounts. I could just get longer bolts in them and make spacers around 3/8" to make everything work.

I talked to Olympic today and they say their products are designed to be mounted by themselves and to to work in combination with the factory Rubi rails. I am thinking about installing a M.O.R.E. 1" body lift to fix the problem.
Does anyone know how tough a 1" body lift will be to install or have any negatives on doing a body lift. I called M.O.R.E. about their lift and they said is really simple to install.

I sent an Email to the guys at Olympic about using the rails with the stock Rubi rails and this was the response I was given.

They should let everyone know the two will bind against each other and you end up running like a rigid mount body. I am not to enthused about taking off the rails and going with just the bars. I bet allot of people will never notice when they bolt them up but I am anal as hell about things being correct and these two don't work together. You end up with the rail (body mounted) sitting on top of the the bar mounts (frame mounted) which gives you a ridge mount. You can still bolt it up and install the bars in the down position but in the up position the bar hits the rail at the side rear doors. They really need to make a set to install with the factory rock rail. They could just change all the mounts so they are 1/4" to 3/8" lower and it would work perfectly.

Do you have any pics of the mounts bolted to the frame without the bars in them. The reason I'm asking is I am looking for a temporary step that I can take off when wheeling. My wife is short and wants a step but I want the clearance when I wheel. She drives my jeep in the winter here when it snows so I have to come up with a solution soon. I want to make sure if I go this route that the mounts won't be getting hung up on rocks when the bars are off. Thanks.

So you can't flip them at all??? I have a 2dr and was thinking about getting these... Any pics on them on a 2dr? Also are these strong enough for a jack point for a high Jack
