Outlaw Exhaust?
It's more like a tip than an exhaust. I bought it and its nice and tucked away under the jeep, but the sound just wasn't clean. I had to add a magna flow resonator to clean it up. Now it sounds great, and is tucked away up against the body atop the rear axel. I simply unbolted my stock exhaust and put the extreme exhaust in that location.

Is this really bad drone in the cab?
It sounded horrible, that's why I purchased a magnaflow resonator, to tone it down a bit, and clean out the sound.
The baffle really doesn't do much for the sound.
The drone in the cab, now that I have the resonator isn't bad at all.
If I were to do it again, I would have removed the stock exhaust, and just gone to a muffler shop and had them add a resonator, and a tip.

Bought mine after I heard it in person on the Outlaw Jeep. You cannot get a good idea of the sound in a video without high tec equipment to record with. He has it in place of the Catalytic Converter right under his door so his had a lot more rumble and some backfire. I forgot to ask him what position his baffle was in. I put mine at the end of the pipe right where the old muffler connected. It is a lot higher and leaves that space open for future mods under the back.
The baffle is more of a fine tuning thing. I have it installed as it arrived in position 2. The second back from the highest backflow. It sounded great so I left it there. I may switch it around one weekend when I got no other mods to do... Then I will let you know. The only time I have loud resonance is during high acceleration. That can get annoying. It is also louder until the engine warms up. The rest of the time it has a low growl. At cruising speeds it is barely noticeable. However I have a soft top. Maybe the hard top is different?
I will say that it seems to be "breaking in" a bit and has mellowed out a bit but that may just be my ear getting used to it. It is not stock folks. You will turn heads.
I don't understand why anyone would put this on that wants a quiet ride anyway. Keep it stock or blow your cash on magnaflow for that.
As far as performance gains? Minimal. Hard to tell because the '12 engine is pretty strong already. I got a couple MPG gain and HP Boost from the RR snorkel although they do not like to advertise it that way because it is not technically a cold air intake.
