Default Painted inside of hardtop

Has anyone painted the inside of their hardtop? I put the hardtop back on yesterday and forgot about the white inside. It doesn't feel right with my all black going on lol.

sounds like a good idea, how about some nice shag carpet with some dangeling carpet balls around the perimeter? Or maybe spray on bedliner?

I thought about a light or medium gray to match the interior, but, the shag carpet idea sounds pretty pimp also.

Haha, I did the same thing the other day. Kinda nice at night though, gives an "ambient glow". My brother's friend does bedliner stuff, and might have a light grey... but that is more for road noise reasons (I think...). Question then is, how much weight is that adding.

Well I would think that the Shag would absorb the noise and the bed liner would amplify the noise however I think they both are steller ideas. As far as weight I have no Idea, but we could always take off the catilyitc converter to make up for the differnce

It's on my list of "to do's". I was gonna have my paint shop spray a chip guard similiar to the rubberized undercoating you find on many cars at the bottom 4-6 inche of the vehicle. (not to be confused with undercoating you find under the car) I think it might add some sound deadning as well as perhaps a little insulation, and then paint it gray to match the interior.

But now that you've mentioned "shag"

Well if anybody actualy does the shag post up what you did to manuver around the 3 piece hard top. Also how you got it to fit decently around the contours of the top and what you used to stick the carpet to the roof. Obviously you cannot use carpet tacks or even outdoor stapes. With that in mind 2 inch nails are definately out of the question. Also please stay away from turf it may burn the bottom of the MRS's feet.
