because it is his right to protect his life with a firearm. Works well for em. I'm happy that he is wanting to protect his firearm from the hands of those who are the true problem (illegally obtained weapons).

no idea on the tuff, but why not a tuff centre console, those are pretty good normally (have one on my Yj, Love it.)

I have the tuffy security insert for the console....and it is plenty stout. But, that said, I don't put my pistols in there....I figure that is where someone would look. If you wanted to put it in there for a little while and felt your jeep was in a safe place, it would certainly do the job.
Some people use the tuffy glove box for their cc pistols, some just use the rear deck oem storage area. Still others put a holster on the back of the oem glovebox and hide the weapon in the dash.

Hope this helps.

did someone post something and then delete it?

this is just something to lock it up when I am running into a store ore something. Not to leave it for any real extended time.

ronjenx - sorry if I gave your spot away!!! If you like, I can post your ssn for you as well! (Seriously, sorry!)That just isn't one of my favs cause SO many people know about that spot.

Back for the OP, the Tuffy security insert or rear deck lid (or security drawer, etc) is probably your safest bet.

Bolt a lockable strong box to your tailgate. Maybe one of the smaller ammo cans modded to take a padlock.

Yes. The original post #2 is missing. I didn't think a post could be completely deleted.
