Wow why did you do that? Just wondering why one rock chip and it will just start peeling. My emblem did that.

I've been using this stuff for over a year now, I did my chrome rims on my 04 cobra a year ago and they still look just as good as the day i did them and I did my grill on my JK about 9 months ago and never had to touch either since the day i did them.

 

Thinking of plasti dipping my doors! Anyone done this??

Cant wait to see pics of the Smoke - Ive been holding off on painting the Rims to see how the smoke looks.

 

Note to self, purchase Plastidip stock

 

make sure when you do this your doors are clean and are done dripping down by the mirror... when i plasti dipped the whole thing i had to redo both front doors due to water dripping down the door and messing up the coating with not letting it stick....

to those wondering why i did this is because im looking into getting my jeep painted flat black or bedlined and i wanted to see how it would look, or even if i would like it.... why not use this it peels off and doesnt harm the paint.....

 

Tried it. FAIL.

Tested the spare first. Everything went great until I tried to reattach the lug nuts. The turning of the lug nuts grabbed the plasti- dip and started twisting it. Oh well.
