I have the sane issues with 12" travel shocks both shocks ate unseated. I will be tack welding them in until i get coilovers.. Realistically for 12" travel plus id reccomend coilovers. Also with my coils im the front they are my bumostops essentially as they compress and stop the up travel. Just so happens they are at almost the perfect spot

I have been doing the same thing. I'm running 2.5 RK front springs with TF rears. EVO rock stars, 10" travel rear shocks, 11.12" travel fronts, 2.5" bumpstops all around. 4"up travel,7" down in the front.
I plan on making new rear upper shock mounts to run longer shocks

For the rear shocks i used a 1.5 in square tube and side it across the tip of the frame in the rear just behind the bumpeand welded tabs on top to get them higher. Mine is stretched though so not sure what ur shock angle would be

Collapsed and free length numbers would help as well....

Procomp ES1000s. 17 collapsed/ 29.5 extended. The 14 inch travel ones are 18 collapsed and 32 extended. I have looked at all the major brands and this is the shortest collapses length I could find. Even out of the piggy back reservoirs and remote reservoirs. They are eyelets top and bottom, so when I built an upside down "L" shape mount for up top, I could outboard them some to keep them off the frame rails.

I want to see pics of these too. I've been looking at the synergy ones but I don't feel like coughing up $150 for them. Especially when I can build it myself, granted I'm not the best welder lol.

I have gotten the free length of all the springs I've been interested in.

Synergy 3" (progressive) 20.75" / rear 17.75"

Synergy 4" (progressive) 21.50" /19.5"

Metal cloak 3.5" (dual rate) 21 7/8" / 19.55"

Currie 4" (dual rate) 21.6" / 18.55"

Currie 4"/4 dr* (dual rate) 22.6"/ 19.55"

RK 2.5" (progressive)19"/16

*The Currie 4 Dr springs would give a 2 Dr 5 inches of lift.

The RK springs are what I'm running right now. The total amount I raised my upper mount was 3 1/2" up front. So right now if I switched to a little bit longer spring with these 12.5" travel shocks my springs won't come unseated at all. Which this would solve your issues (unseating/shock contacting the frame) but you would either bump stop up travel or pretty much run no fender flares at all. I did remove my front inner fenders and when I put 35s on my Jeep I don't plan on running fenders, or if the man tries to keep me down I'll trim the body and run a small sheet metal flare that is removable for the trail. But since you are planning on running ORI, screw it. That will be a sweet setup.

This is with 3" bumps on it and I'm stuffing tires.

This isn't full drooped out yet and you can see the spring is unseated already....

You can see in this pic the spring is already compressed and folding over, as well as tire is stuffed...so a longer spring is gonna big iffy as you go higher gotta watch for coil bind.

True coil bind is some I'm looking at all so I need to get the collapsed length of the springs I mentioned above. But I wasn't able to bind the RK 2.5 coils, but the weight of my 2 door couldn't compress them anymore either. I will eventually make new links for mine to mount in the stock locations (I'll beef up the mounts) and using johnny joints all all the ends. Currie actually makes them for the housing end too.

I have the 3.5 rk springs and am using about 12 of travel on my 12.5s and it gave me 5 inch of lift but settled 1/4 inch. Mine come unseated about 2 to 3" also. But i didnt mess with my front shock mounts yet.

These shocks are $36 each and once I dial everything in I'll look at getting some better ones. Raising the lower mount will net you more droop but with that more droop if your spring is unseated you're not getting traction. With my old set up I was able to see how much the stock control arms could droop, so theoretically if I can find a spring with a long enough length and short enough coil bind length I could run some ridiculously long shocks. In Travis' pictures it looks like his tire is drooping far past mine, but when you take into the account I have more up travel and am using every bit of travel out of those 12.5" travel shocks, I have more available wheel travel. Again though I'm not taking anything away from his suspension, because obviously it works. I'm just trying to find the right combination of parts in order to get the most travel I can out of these coil springs.
