Please help!!!!!!
ok il start by saying that i have just purchesed my first jeep after a life time of fords , a 09 jku x, it was bone stock and in the 3 weeks I have owned it I have put on 33" bfg's with nice rims and as of tonight i began the task of putting on a rough country 3.25 lift and RC front bumper but I have ran into some issues. 1ST was i followed the directions to a T but could not get the new springs in, I called RC and they told me to drop the upper and lower control arms, i did, i was able (barly) to get the springs in but now i cant get the damn passemger side control arms to line back up nothing i have done has worked it appeared the axle rolled forward a bit but the drivers side is on I am stumped and i was working till dark and then in rain when i got pissed enough to quite can any one help??? please lol my only thought is to drop the drivers side lower and get both tops then both bottoms good idea?
first off be careful under there . i would remove the track bar position the axle get the control arms on and then you can lower it and use your steering to shift the axle to line the track bar up dont final tighten until you put it on the ground and get weight on it
ok thanks carolinajk i will try that im so pissed and now i gota wait till I get off of work to start all over lol i hate waiting !!!! lol
X2 on the track bar removal. Also I did find it easier to install both uppers then both lowers. I'm not sure if ur doing this already but you can roll the axle pretty easily by putting a floor jack under the pinion housing on the differential. Lift it up roll it forward lower it down roll it backwards. You can use this technique also when dialing in caster with adustsble arms. I also discovered that the rubber bushings can be flexed with the UCA bolt and hammered in with a dead blow hammer, that is if you can get the bolt through only one side of the UCA. Hope this helps.
This happened to me when I unbolted my uca's to do my lift, same thing the axle rolled forward and shifted to the passanger side. I use a combination of a jack, bottle jack, and ratchet straps to get it lined back up. Maybe not the best way to do it but it was simple and everything rides fine now even after 1k miles

X3 on the track bar. Once you pop the track bar loose you'll be able to get your arms back in. Now for hooking the track bar back up wait until you have the jeep back on the ground. Have someone turn the steering wheel until the track bar and the mount align. Call me if you need any help. My direct number is in my sig.
I have a 2010 unlimited and installed the same kit. I had no issues as you state. Could be difference between models but I find that strange.
I removed the sway bar arms from the front, removed the shock from one side, lifted the frame (floorjack) while axle is left on block. To do this I removed the tire, lowered the rotor onto a block of wood and positioned the floor jack to the frame. Raised the frame and removed the spring. Tight to squeeze the new spring in but removing the front brake hose from frame helped. Once spring was in, I lowered the frame back down and placed the new shock in. Re position jack , jack the differential up and install new tire. Move to opposite side.
I did not remove anything other than the sway bar links which get replaced by new ones in the kit, if I remember, you use the front in the rear.
Axle does sit 1" off center but it has caused no real issues and I will fix that this fall.
I have over 35k miles on the kit and all has been fine.
