Hey yall!

So I have had my Wrangler for a year now and within that time I have been trying to figure out how I want to make it look. I don't do much off-roading as of now and it is my every day vehicle, so please help me out. I have looked into just doing a 2.5" level with 35in Nitto Terra Grappler tires and Fuel Mavrick or Moto Metal MO962 Black Milled rims I'm still having trouble with the rim size. Can someone please explain to me the difference in all of the leveling kits- like some say budget boost, some say with or without shocks, and the list goes on- also, since the front is not already level with the rear how does that work as far as do I get the same height for all four's or are the front and back going to need different heights in level? I just want my JK to look awesome and like a Jeep, but still be practical for every day traveling and decent gas mileage. PHOTOS WOULD BE AWESOME with details (so I can see what it actually looks like).

Thanks Yall!
Kaylin

Mostly Budget boosts just offer some Coil Spacers for the front and nothing for the rear. The ones that come with shocks come with longer shocks that are properly made for the lift.

And wheel sizes. I would stick with a 17" as the tires are a lot cheaper instead of moving up to bigger wheels. But its all a personal prefrence. Also make sure the wheels you get have enough backspacing to prevent rubbing when turning with the wider 35" tires. Or you can simply run wheel spacers as well to prevent rubbing.

If it were me. I would Pick out a 2.5" coil lift with shocks and bump stops. That way when you do decide to go wheeling you wont have to worry about rubbing issues.
I ran a 2.5" lift with 35s and it worked well.

If you're not worried about improving off-road capability, and just want improved looks, consider a 2.5" budget boost with shock spacers, and wheel spacers for your OEM wheels with 35" tires. Or, new 8" wide 16 or 17" wheels with 4.5" or less of backspacing. That will give you a very nice stance. And you can still wheel it should that strike your fancy. Not the most capable, but a cheap way to make your Jeep look amazingly better.

BTW: Generally a budget boost will have slightly taller spacers for the front than the rear to take out the rake.

Oh, here is my Jeep back when I had a 2.5" BB (albeit with longer shocks) and 33s on 4.5" BS tires ...

X2 on this setup... My first JK lift was the TF Budget Boost, did its job to clear my 35s and it took a beating. It's inexpensive, so if or when you decide to upgrade its not much of a hit to the wallet.

There are tons of show threads on here that will show you just about every set up you can do, just use the search function and it will give you a couple of days worth of photos to look at. Give the link in my signature a click and do a little reading on lifts.
Welcome and good luck with the build.

What 35's fit on the OEM rims? I found 34's, 33's and 32's.
