Dave Harriton of AEV told me that the reason the put the vent on top of the hood in the forward position is that it is in a low pressure area and exhausts air out better than it would if at the back. Not being an engineer I can't comment; but I do recall Chevy putting air intakes at the rear of the hood at the base of the winshield because that was better for taking air IN.

I do know that I'd like to see underhood temp stats for a stock hood, the AEV hood and the TMD hood (and Camps when it's available). If it could be done while stopped and idleing, at moderate speed on a trail and on the freeway it would be valuable info.

I'd also like to see some before and after numbers for installing louvers on the stock hood.

Default Camp will be in the running too

Camp is working on one that looks like it will have the right look and address the moisture dripping from the hood into the engine. Check his thread out under Hemi Hood.
