Default 85 in a stock JK wrangler...

my stock X C package has the 16" rims and I THINK the 225 tires. That thing is plenty low to the ground. I've had mine up to at least 80 before and it did just fine...granted it was no Vette. But uh...thats kinda the point. Its a Jeep.

You wanna lower your JK...cause you want it to be more stable and easy to handle at higher speeds right? Well the stock JK is plenty suitable for highway use. Mine runs on the interstate at 70 just fine. If your going any faster than that all the time your bein just plain irresponsible. Its the interstate not the I-500. Take it the track if you wanna speed around.

And no I'm not trying to be all preachy to you. But I'm in the Fire Dept. and you can probably understand why I can't stand it when people fly around like they own the road or its their personal test track for their modified vehicle.

Just my .02 cents.

Everyone should pay attention to this post. This is one of the more intelligent posts I have seen in a while. This business about shooting people etc.. over chrome accessories and lowering JKs is tantamount to a threat. This sort of shit is low-class and makes people look like redneck a$$holes. It also makes the rest of the Jeep community look like a bunch of losers.

Some of us on the board don't take threats very well. Besides being illegal, you may be shocked to find out how far people will go to retaliate to that sort of garbage. So if you're one of the shit-talkers who threatens on this board, it's time to STFU.

well, i personally didnt take anything as a threat here, nor did i intentionally make any. i assumed it was all in good jest. if the poster wants a lowered jeep, cool. I dont, he does, freedom to chose and all.

It's all good as long as everyone is having fun isnt it?

I had a lowered/V8 '92 Ranger in several shows. frequently parked between 4wd's i coulda walked under, and chrome plated Civics. I dont care what people do, we are all enthusiats of one sort or another, just express it differently.

Talk to Sam Strano at Strano Parts. He is well known in the f-body(camaro/firebird) community.
He sells all types of lowering springs that are matched to shocks for a stock ride.

I'm real sure that all these people will stop immediately because of your very strong ("STFU") statement. I really think they'll all sit back, re-think what they've typed, how they feel about this thread, and apologize. I'll watch & wait because it'll probably start real soon.

Default How do you spell G U L L I B L E ?

This post was concocted specifically to elicit a response, which it did. We will see a super-turbo-gee whiz 800 horsepower lowered JK in when pigs fly! Hell, the ones who start these posts don't even have the keys to a shiny new JK. I will be out driving mine while all those with the mentality and maturity of a 13-year old bragging are on the forum how their $100,000 turbo Wrangler goes 0-60 as fast as a stock C6 Corvette (my other favorite ride). If someone wants to kick my ass for this post I will just turn off the road and their 2wd lowered wrangler will get stuck anyway!
