Default Is the Procal worth it?

I am all stock with the exception of 33's and a TF BB. I am actually pretty happy right now with how the jeep drives. It took a lot more miles than I thought before things seemed to wake up but it highways really well now.

I was going to get ARB diff covers but with the killer price on Solid covers I can get covers and still have enough to cover the procal. Will I notice any difference with the procal? I still think the shifting is off at times but will the programmer really make much difference with the shift points?

My toyo mt's are getting worn and when I replace them I will be most likely going with 35" BFG AT's. Would I be better off waiting to get the programmer until then?

I have an 07 and really am just looking for a change in tire size and shift points, if it is noticeable. Eventually, I will go with bigger tires and gears.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

ProCal is worth every penny. It wont give you any power, but it will put all the setting back where they belong with all your modifications. You will especialy like it with the auto.

That's what I needed to know. I am actually happy with the power and with 35K miles it actually does better than when new with the stock tires. If the adjustments really make a difference I will be tickled.

By the way, how do you like the Coopers? I am still undecided between those and going with the BFG AT's in the 35" size.

What tire size did you have stock?

If you only moved from 32's to 33's, you could easily wait until you have the 35's. If you went up from the 29's, then definitely go ahead and get it. It might not be as robust as some of the other programmers, but well worth the price for all the functionality it does have.

It's great! I used it for my 37's and 5.13 gears. ESP works perfectly now. The back end of my rubi is constantly trying to slide in the snow.

I think it's a good bang for buck.

Agreed with the caviot that once you own it, you really can't resell it if you decide you want a power programmer later like the Flashpaq or Hypertech as it binds to the vehicles VIN. Or so I've been told.

If you have changed either you tire size or gears and you have an automatic, then YES 100%.
