Agreed with the caviot that once you own it, you really can't resell it if you decide you want a power programmer later like the Flashpaq or Hypertech as it binds to the vehicles VIN. Or so I've been told.
Set the first JK back to stock and it unlocks for a new JK. From the AEV site...

Once used for recalibration, AEV's ProCal Module stores a vehicle's VIN in its memory. While a VIN is stored in memory, a ProCal Module cannot be used on a second vehicle. To use the ProCal Module on a second vehicle, the first vehicle must be recalibrated to stock. This will clear the first VIN and ready the ProCal Module for use on the second vehicle.

Well, then I'm not as knowledgable as I thought. Thanks for clarifying this!

That's what makes this forum so great. Always learning new things.

The pro comp "hypertech" just is a code reader and a speedo calibrator.

The AEV procal has more features

Well, I ordered the procal and a few other things from Dave at Northridge. I honestly don't know if I will see much difference with the 33's since I had the 32's stock but I will be going to 35's within the next year or so and hopefully gears sometime after that if I feel I need them.

Thank you David. I may be calling you to get this. I would be interested to measure the before/after on my Jeep the way I have it modified.

I use my ProCal all the time! I sold my Pro Comp calibrator! (It's a JOKE compared to the Pro-Cal!)

ProCal Module Functions:

* Large tire recalibration (Restores the vehicle's speedometer/odometer accuracy following the installation of larger-than-stock tires)
* Axle gear ratio recalibration (Resets automatic transmission shift points to maximize the benefits of an axle gear ratio change)
* Tire Pressure Monitoring System recalibration (you can set it to alert you of any pressure YOU desire, or completely disable it!)
* Daytime running lamp activation/deactivation, and lamp location selection (you decide what daytime lights YOU want like the the markers or the headlights)
* One-touch turn signal activation/deactivation
* Engine idle speed options (Improves winch performance and Onboard AIR and battery charging capabilities by temporarily increasing engine idle RPM)
* Steering wheel centering (Provides for spot-on steering alignment)
* Clears Engine Diagnostic Codes (The gauge cluster will display codes by doing this http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...what-they-mean)

Pro-cal is one of the best money spent items I have purchased for my Jeep. I would have paid twice as much for the unit. You will not be sorry.

I think mine will be here tomorrow and I will be taking a four hour drive later this week including lots of mountains so it should give it a good work through and a chance to see if it makes much difference.
