I heard, if you put a hair dryer motor in the snorkel it acts as a poor mans super charger! J/k...personally, I think the biggest drawback to a snorkel is the false sense of confidence it gives you. Being more inclined to drive through a lake is just not a good idea. Flooded breather tubes, electronics, etc

Not having enough money to buy a snorkel I have read up a bunch about them

Clearly, you want to extend your breathers with a snorkel, or without one. I did a write-up

Then your going to want to seal the drain holes, in your air box, with some silicon. I think I would add a duckbill drain on that step. They don't let water in but let it out. It's shown on this thread ->https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-w...-drain-249620/ . In all likely hood it is over kill.
