Default Pull Your Carpet

I am going to pull the carpet out soon. Has anyone else done this? I am also prob gonna line-x (something similiar). How hard is it? For either one.

Any noise difference or heat difference with the carpet out? Would you do it again?

Default cost to line-x your tub

I looked into doing this for my TJ, so your results (in the form of price quote)
may vary. If you are going with one of the stock colors, it was about 500.00
If you want to custom match (say, the color of your Jeep) it was around 750.00
Both prices were contingent upon YOU doing all carpet and seat removal. This
was from (hope I don't get in trouble for mentioning company name) Rhino liner

I was going to do it myself. It's about $80-120 (I Forgot what it cost). To get the kit and do it your self.

In the warmer months I run no doors, top, and as a result, no carpet. The floor does get warmer than older jeeps but good mats keep your feet fine. The whole carpet comes out in like 4 pieces. really easy and worry free. If dirty just hose out and no wet carpet to stink up.

I might consider doing a self coating at some point. I've taken out sections of the carpeting for off-roading before, but overall I like my carpeting.

I might pull the carpet in a few years when the newness is gone. For now I kinda like the carpet.

Pulling the carpet and Linexing my Jeep was my first mod. It is, IMO, no louder without the carpet and Linexed. It is also nice not to have to worry about getting it wet or dirty. Just pull the plug hose it out and you are done.

I drove a JK with no carpet in Moab and the area down by the pedals got really hot. I think the heat was coming up from under the vehicle through the drain hole--I guess the plug had been removed too. There are also a lot of visible welds underneath the carpet that some people wouldn't like. Just something to consider.
