Pull Your Carpet
I Herculined my TJ. I freakin loved it. I'm going to pull my carpet out when it warms up a bit and Herc it. You can do the whole tub for less than a $100. I took everything out and did it right. It looked professionally done. I bought a jeeperman rear with the 500 I saved on Line-X.
I wore flip-flops in it all the time. I didn't think it was too hot.

I want to finish it with a product personally rather than leaving it "unfinished" with the welds exposed. Looks like the hardest part of doing it yourself is plugging up all the little holes. I heard that pencils or wood dowels with tape around works well. Anyone know how long it takes to dry?
im trying to decide if im going to do this....I def want to do it, just not too sure of how it will look doing it on own, then again paying 750 dollars (the estimate i got) to have it line-x'ed is waaay too pricey...ill keep carpets and husky liners for now.

I am thinking of going this route myself to save money for other mods; did you ever have any issues with the Heruliner getting soft/tacky on hot days, or in areas close to the engine bay/exhaust paths? This is my only concern with a roll on app...
Oh, and as a side note; the rug needs to go... There is nothing I hate worse than having to worry about keeping the carpet looking and smelling clean. Hose it out or sweep it is the only way to go...

I let mine dry about 12 hours before reinstalling everything. I'll see if I can find my old pix..
I pulled both front carpets out and then flipped the floor mats upside down. Works good for me and it was free. If I ever sell the jeep I can just put the carpets back in and then it looks new. I dont really care if the tub gets all scratched up.
Sorry, I missed your post in my reply. It feels soft and tacky the first day of so and the shine dulls. After that though, I never had any problems with it getting soft again. I did 2 coats and it was sturdy.

anybody have any???
