Omg!
I have the Bestop 2 piece soft doors and like them.
For a tube door, I'd get the Bestop Element doors due to the extra accessories that can be added:

My favorite doors...
These would be my reommendation. I have them, I love them. They fit perfectly, and the quality is surpassed only by the quality of service that the folks who make them offer. They come with mirrors.
A little place called Roughshod Offroad makes them.

This must be different state by state! I always see the UPS and USPS drivers in the NYC area driving with their doors slid open, which would equal the same hazards as a jeep with no doors would (if any)! Why aren't they getting tickets or warnings? I think as long as your seat belts on and you have side-view mirrors you should be good!
I don't believe we have that law in California but I will look into it. I take my kids to school all the time with no doors on and I get a lot of disapproving looks from some of the moms.

Here is the regulations for British Columbia:
I wonder if the judge would interpret that as the original doors? or doors that are identical to the original doors? OEM replacement doors?
Anyone from BC ever get a ticket with tube doors?
Doors — Doors shall be installed in a vehicle where the vehicle was manufactured with doors.
The doors with which a vehicle is equipped shall be in good working order, and any hinge, latch or handle must not be broken, missing or inoperable.
The doors shall not be warped, twisted or weakened to the extent that a slight jar will open them.
A door shall be capable of being opened or closed with normal effort.

Well I can say that I drive with my doors off and think that it is crazy that people are getting pulled over for the doors...
If you are in Florida you will not get a ticket from me
I will have to do some research, I don't believe that I have seen that rule... Seatbelts and no doors, that is a diff. scenario.

Here is my email to DriveSmartBC and their response fyi:
Good morning Troy.
The inspection manual has this to say about doors:
6. Doors (if equipped)
Inspect
a) operation
a) binds, jams, closes insecurely, missing
b) door openers and
b) missing, broken, inoperable handles
c) catches
c) missing, broken, loose, worn so as not to latch on primary and secondary catches
d) hinges
d) cracked, missing, broken, loose so door will not close properly, seized
e) seals
e) missing, deteriorated or positioned in a manner as to allow exhaust gases to enter passenger compartment
f) location
f) no exit on each side exits as per original manufacturer are non-operational
g) intrusion beam
g) missing, loose, broken, bent, kinked, repaired other than by an approved standard and process
h) door panel
h) repaired in a manner that compromises structural integrity, repaired other than by an approved standard and process
The first item is the part to inspect, and the second are lists of defects that would keep the vehicle from being approved.
The Motor Vehicle Act Regulations in the Schedule to Division 7 says:
Door, body, hood
11 The vehicle shall comply with section 19.02 of the regulations with regard to size and dimension.
Doors — Doors shall be installed in a vehicle where the vehicle was manufactured with doors.
The doors with which a vehicle is equipped shall be in good working order, and any hinge, latch or handle must not be broken, missing or inoperable.

A door shall be capable of being opened or closed with normal effort.
Finally, there is a bulletin about doors that is worth reading:

I think that if your tube doors provide the same level of physical protection as the original doors and cover the same area, you are probably good to go.

Are tube doors allowed on a jeep? Jeeps come with half doors and a tube door
is basically a half door. The MVA(?) states 'Doors shall be installed in a
vehicle where the vehicle was manufactured with doors'. It doesn't say they
have to be the original doors, just that they have to be in good working
order.
