Thanks for your help, I'll make sure the bottom perch is in and get it aligned and the axles centered.

Thanks again, hopefully I can get it out on some easy trails before the weather gets real bad this weekend!

so you know, there really isn't a whole that that an alignment shop can do on your rear end. heck, depending on what all you have installed on your jeep, there really isn't a whole lot that one can do on your front end either. for your rear end, all you need to do is measure how much your axle has shifted and adjust your track bar to make up the difference. each full turn of the joint should give you about 1/8" longer or shorter depending on which way you need to go. to get the mounting holes to line up, all you have to do is have someone push on the passenger side of your jeep's rear corner and you'll see that everything comes together with ease. need i say, you might want to do this yourself and save some money.

WoL - thanks, I know it isn't that hard, did the front to spec after my last issue . However, wanted to get this one done by professionals as a way to check out the Jeep and make sure there were no glaring errors that I made in the process, but plan to continue doing the rest of the work and maintenance myself.

Side note, went back and just told em to get it done which they will, but 1) implied I won't be off-roading because the bow will most definetly cause my springs to full out upon articulation 2) The suspension gods will come strike me down

Unphased I still am having it done and will most defiently be doing it myself from now on, after getting some more tools.

Well its finally aligned and toe is is good so went out and measured my caster which is now 1.59 on the left and 1.78 on the right. I guess lower control arms would be the way to go although somepone recommeneded front offset ball joints.

My simple 2" lift is getting more and more less simple.

I just did coils on mine yesterday, and I disagree with the folks that said there is no indetation on the lower rear perches. Mine had them plain as day. My coils sit pretty much straigh up.

YES there is a coil indentation and yes it can cause the spring to bow. the trac being off sounds more like the issue in this case though

if you are refering to the indentation on the factory rubber isolatort, that is just from them being crushed by the coil. pull them off, give it some time and the just about level back out. i have installed DOZENS of lift of all makes and can tell you that the position of the coil on the rubber isolator is not an issue to be concerned with and IF the indentation has any influence on the spring, it would only be temporary. now, up front, it is critical that the coil is seated in the lower spring perch and failure to do so will cause the coil to bow considerably.

YES there is in the lower rears. The isolator is on top, not the bottom. THERE IS a spring index on the lowers.

yes, the rubber isolator is on top and down below on the axle is a steel nub that the coil hugs from the inside. there is NO spring index on the axle mount or at least, not on an 07 or 08. you can spin the coil around and around and the end of the coil WILL NOT stop at a designated point like up front.

Well, respectfully sir, on my 08 Unlimited, as of yesterday, there is an index on the LOWER REAR spring perch. Maybe they are not all like this, but on mine there is. I just went outside to snap a pic, but with the spring in and the weight of the vehicle on it, I can't get a clear enough pic to post up.
