Default Rear upper shock mount bolt size????

long story.... after switching from a budget boost lift to a coil lift.

I need the size of the bolt that mounts the upper shock to jeep.
I need to get these 4 bolts replaced by this weekend... I've got 2.5" shock spacers on the rear that are taking 2.5" of compression out of my rear axle as I sit now.

LOL, we are the same person.... I got rid of my black JKU about 3 months after I purchased it. I now own the white one... hence.... white JKU on Wayalife.... good idea though on cutting the bolt.. never thought about that!.... except the aftermarket ones are shoulder bolts... I may not have enough thread to go in all the way even if I cut it down.

still gonna need those factory sizes... google'd the hell out of it and cant find anything but YJ and TJ bolt sizes.

I just installed my rear lift yesterday....wish I would've read this earlier I would've checked for you. Ain't no way I'm crawling back under there now haha. For some reason I wanna say it had a standard size head on it....I thought it was weird because everything else was metric. But as far as the size I can't help sorry.

head size doesn't really matter on this issue... more or less the length and thread size.

I went from a 2.5" BB to a 3.5" RK and had the same issue. I can't remember the bolt size, pretty sure it was 10mm I forget the thread count. What i did was I took one bolts off and went to the auto parts store and matched it up with some shorter ones. I'm pretty sure I saw the size posted before. Do a few more Google searches. If you can't run one up to the store.

love this forum.
I need to remove mine as well, but it's because I installed the Synergy axle mount and skid setup.
