Default Regearing Question

So rite now I'm running 33" tires and want to regear, I know 4.56 are ideal for 33's but I'm planning on upgrading to 35's within a year or two so I would rather run 4.88's for 35's. Is it ok to run the 4.88's for the time being until I get 35's or should I just go with the 4.56's. I have a 12 4dr with a 2.5" RK max travel lift. Open to all suggestions and input is appreciated.

I wouldn't see why not. Just expect drops in your highway MPGs.

Call one of the shops that does gears like Northridge and they'll tell you for sure.

My MPG all ready sucks lol, and is anything else needed besides the actual ring and pinion set, I'm looking at the Superior Axle kit.

Well if your going to be opening your rears consider lockers now, I also have a 12, mines on 35's currently with 3.21's I just ordered 4.56 gears lockers master install kits chromoly front axle shafts sleeves and gussets for the Dana 30. If you pm me ill let you know how much and from who.

I went with 4.56 because on the 12 auto that puts me at 600 rpm more at 65 vs the stock set up

Look at the attached chart

How is your set up now? I also have a 12' with 3.21 and I'm getting ready for 35's. how's it compare to stock? Is it that noticeable?

Same questions, my 35's are on order and I have 3.21's with an automatic. I'm hoping it will be ok for about a year
