Just don't use those extender brackets and you shouldn't need to reinforce anything. However, I guess you could just beef it up by welding on some more metal.

Don't get me wrong, I think it is a good idea to beef things up. These do seem to be a weak area. What I guess I was trying to say is I don't think it would be wise to beef this area up then run one of those brackets that some lifts come with. I think those track bar brackets that attach to the axle are not a good thing.
