Analysis paralysis. I think it is something that Jeep installs during the manufacturing process. Though that doesn't explain why mine started before I took delivery. Maybe the salesman gives it to you when you take a test drive. See there I go again...

Woods - Yeah, I’m surprised we actually figured out what to buy. Fortunately there weren’t too many options to choose from. I think there are more choices in the after market arena - and less clear information.

Granted a boot will obscure a small bend, and boots should be inspected at least monthly.

I don't play mudder and avoid it if at all possible. So for mountain, desert, beach runs boots keep me clean, no salt.sand, or dirt contamination. Inspection requires cutting ty-wraps and replacing them after.

(although I'd hate to have dry mud on my shock shafts if so used.)

Any shaft in direct high speed air flow is bound to get pitted by debri of one sort or another. So we make our choices and takes our chances.

My boots popped loose from my shocks when I cut the strap that held them closed, with that I promptly razor knifed them off and threw them in the garbage. If they won't stay on while off the jeep they sure as hell ain't gonna stay in place wheelin( unless your Capt.Zipty and are very anal)
