I am a potential customer and was concerned when I read the title and your first post. The only reason I haven't bought one already is the price.
lol I can't win here obviously. The title alone did me in, the rest of what I posted didn't matter, because apparently nobody read anything else, including the apologies for an inappropriate/misleading title or the fact that what I was really driving at was that a former sponsor would bash one product to promote their own.

StevieRay, to specifically address your "worried" quote, I perhaps should have included this directly after it. I made a VERY incorrect assumption that people would have gone on to read the last sentence in that post (which is now bolded, italicised and underlined) and realized what I was actually getting it. We all know what happens when one ASSumes and this thread is absolute proof of it. Your post however cleary makes me wonder if you or others read anything other than that title and the first post though, since every post after that is an attempt (failed clearly) to explain what I meant and make mulitple apologies for any confusion.

StevieRay, since I apparently ramble on and on (guilty), please draw your attention to post #24 where I put things in VERY simple terms. Read just after "...let me sum it up:"

Thank you for your cooperation. lol

I did sell my unit used on this forum !!

IT WAS NOT DUE TO UNHAPPINESS WITH THE UNIT !!!

The Jk only tows 3500 lbs and my camper weights 4700 lbs !! Since my wife's camper had not been used since I traded her 3/4 ton DODGE Diesel for my JK .

YOU GET THE PICTURE !!!

I also wanted to put a Diesel into my YJ ; which will be easier with the $600 / month payment out of the budget !!

BTW ......

MK JEEP..... If you need help installing your Ripp SC later this summer .... I can help !!! It only took 10 hours the first time and less now that I have done it before !!! If you can solder, I can't solder to save my life !!!

I actually read every word of every post before I posted my last one. I also read every post on the other one detailing your experiences with the SC (by the way, your Dyno results are due!). This is just fun!

I know my dyno results are due, but my dog ate my homework! lol Actually I'm just waiting on my gauges to come in to Atlantic Motorsports, there was apparently some confusion on their suppliers end. I'm actually getting pretty antsy to get it on there and get it dialed in. It's running great, but apparently there's always a bit more power to be pulled out or so I hear. I've got my fingers crossed that I'll get in this coming week, so I can finish off my report in my SRT6 thread.

Question

Question for OlegFl. I have an automatic wrangler sahara 4 door with 3.73 gears. I know Ripp put out a TRD fix to help the red lighting bolt and shift firmness, but from the experience you have had what is the pain in the ass from torque converter that you speak about when Ripp supposingly fixed that problem?

Thanks for the info very informative. Sorry about your problems with the automatic. Hope the manual works better for you with the supercharger.

when you are at 2200 RPM it skips to 3100 RPM.... and it's impossible to get to 2600 RPM. I don't think ANYTHING will fix this issue short of a new JK computer. And after doing tons of driving on my JK supercharged I find myself going too fast (90 + mph)a lot of the time because I get it to 3100 RPM and don't want to bring it down because at 2200 it won't be going fast enough. (80-85 mph). I just can't deal with staring at the damn RPM's and wishing I could put the damn needed at 2600!!!!!!

So I figured a manual would solve that problem

The SC is awesome and will get your rig driving 15-20 mph faster with less stress on the engine.... but the automatic JK is shit!
Try car-part dot com ( a salvage yard find it search ) see if you can find the manual trans and manual computer ( if there is one ) or just remove your auto computer when you replace the trans !! Your Supercharger will love you for it !! there is no special programming to change from auto to manual on the SC prolly just disconnect the battery to reset the engine computer . and your good to go and no bull **it at the dealer like I had trying to trade vehicles !!

edit ::: just found one for you at elite auto in long lake minnesota for $750 plus shipping .... 1 800 886 2298 !!!! The most expensive was only $1400
!!
coincidently this same dealer has a 2006 RUBICON transfer case with 100 miles for $1250 !! Might snag that myself for the diesel YJ !!!
