Congrats on your new mod, sounds pretty sweet and it's always worth it when you don't feel disappointed with the results. Do us all a favor and post some pictures of that bad boy

Warranty? What warranty?

Luckily, I know a mod-friendly dealer that actually does RIPP installs. However, go under the assumption that your warranty is void, and you won't be disappointed when they deny you (and they will).

CONGRATS !!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the read ... and the methodical way with which your worked is exactly how my buddies & I do it. I could picture it all :-)
This is a mod that I'm very much excited to do... It is all contingent to what 2012 JK's will be / look like.

Can you tell us more about the software side of the install ? (Diablosport... reprogramming...re-flashing ...etc ) .

My understanding is that this is were usually teething problems arise.

Thanks and DO post pics !

Only the cost of the SC from RIPP, 5 hrs of my time and about $20.00 in miscellaneous parts (silicon spray, anti-seize, loctite, spray paint, etc.) Honestly, aside from hand tools, everything you need to install the SC is in the kit provided by RIPP.

I had no issues with the Diablosport and the tune provided by RIPP. The process is simple: Plug in the Diablo to your Jeep, download your stock tune into the unit, transfer it to your laptop and email it to RIPP with your vehicle's specifics. They will then email you back a modified tune. Then you just reverse the procedure: Take the tune provided by RIPP, upload it from your computer to the Diablosport and then plug in the Diablosprot to your Jeep and upload the new tune.

Not only is it simple, but RIPP provided detailed instructions (to include pictures) on exactly how to do it. Just be aware that it may take 24-48 hrs for RIPP to email you back the modified tune. As such, its best to download your stock tune and email it to RIPP as soon as you get your hands on the Diablosport provided rahter than doing it after you install the SC. That way you're not waiting for the tune.

I go there for all my maintenance. Even though I can change my oil and brakes all by my lonesome, I take it to Lucas if not to get face time with the manager. If they know you, they are more likely do to the right thing by you as far as honoring the warranty...
