lots of good info here, I think this is the kit Im going with, I notice on their site they have a 2 door with the 2.5 max travel and flat flares with 37s....curious how much rubbing goes on. Has anyone tried this lift with that combo? Can you up grade to 3.5 springs later if need be and keep the rest of the parts?

I will most likely go this route ultimately. It was one reason I went with the 2.5" RK lift because I could just out on flat flares (or trim mine) and run 37s. I like the idea of lower center of gravity. The other nice thing about the RK kits is that they're "upgradable" from the perspective that you just add the 3.5" springs and be good without having to worry about changing the other components. I've added the appropriate bump stops for my 35s, but won't have to change them with the 37s as long as I have flat flares.

I have a JKS rear track bar with my 2.5" kit and do not have any clearance issues. I did not use the trackbar bracket that comes with the kit, it is mainly for those reusing the factory track bar.

Finally got my kit installed!!!! (2012 JK)
I forgot to measure before, to compare.
I have stock bumpers on at this time. I have been driving it with 315/70/17 Duratracs on Blackrock 909s for about two weeks before the lift.
The kit came with the recommend Blistens.
It is awesome but stiff as shit and will beat you to death on a rough road. I would compare it to taking a race prep SCCA car on the road.
I'm not sure if this is a spring or shock issue( or combo) but I am disappointed. Maybe its just the way it is and I'm sure I will get use to it. It does not handle better than stock, not even close. No death wobble or anything like that. But when you drive over anything rough it just feels way to stiff almost like tow truck or big rig with nothing behind it, both of which I have done. Any suggestions?

I hope your right!
Really wish I had measured because it looks like I got like 4" of lift easy. So I guess I got my money's worth there!!!
Thx for the encouragement!

I wimped out and had a local shop install mine! They did a great job, no issues.
I don't really think that there's anything wrong, it's my first Jeep and first lifted vehicle. Keep us posted on your progress!

Lower your air pressure a few pounds. Should help.

I have the 2.5" Max travel also and installed it the first week of January and I agree it is really stiff I can feel every little crack in the road! I have the Bilstien shocks they recommend on there site. I have 35x12.5x15 Falkien Rocky Mountain ATS and they are at 30psi.
