When they work they seem to work well, but I know that I have a KJ too, and I have never once heard a good thing about their lifts or their service when it came to the kj. Kind of left a bad impression with me when anyone who bought their 7" lift had to do a SFA when their RK lift broke.

I looked into them for my old KJ Liberty...they had you drilling holes in your steering knuckles as part of the install....anyone that thinks that that is a good idea for stability is not to bright in my book....one guy posted pictures of the first time he wheeled it with both of his wheels turned toward each other...ouch...it wasn't pretty

This is what concerns me (not the remeaning of the knuckles, that's not uncommon). I'm just wondering if the was a quality issue, is there still with the JK lifts.

what's wrong with reaming steering knuckles? it's done all the time for high steer kits.

Yeah, no kidding. Sounds like it might not have been done correctly. not to hijack my own thread, but mcnaught, did you have to modify anything to get the Shrockworks sliders to fit with the Mopar rails?

I few years ago RK got a bad reputation due to quality of there products. RK has since changed ownership and they have turned around. A local Jeeper and business owner is a dealer for RK. I have seen the products up close on JK's, TJ's and a 3/4 ton Dodge. They are well designed and the quality is top notch. I have spoken with them several times and they always answer my questions. When installing my rear tack bar and relocation bracket, I was transferred to the engineer to answer my question. He apologized for the heim joint and the poly bushing being installed on the wrong ends. He assured me that this information would passed on to the floor where they are assembled prior to shipment so this would not happen again. I wasn't upset, I just had simple question that was answered.

i've got rk 5.5" lift i pm'd you but i've had no trouble with any of my lift componets, infact i beat the shit out of my jk while offroad and haven't had any trouble at all. ( i did break my front trac bar mount, on the axle, but thats a factory weld that wasen't strong enough, there is a fairly cheap fix for the mount and it's beefy)

[hijack on] i didn't have to modify anything, but i did have to specify that i wanted to use them that way. shrockworks will make them slightly differently so that they fit with the rubicon rock rails still in place. to be honest, i wish i hadn't done it that way. it makes the shrockworks rails sit about 1.5 to 2 inches lower than they would have otherwise.
