That sure looks like the same basket as "insanitize" has on his jeep above, just with some type of mount to the cage instead.

Here's a teaser pic of the new Treks JK roof rack.

And the price:

It's even available with a 3 person roof-top tent.

Just one question about these sort of body mounted racks. Can I still fit a snorkel or will the front right bar get in the way?
AEV says theirs will still fit.

I ran with a preproduction Treks rack for a couple weeks and loved it. The thing is very, very strong. Wanting to put your top up and down would be an issue but if you don't plan on taking yours off, i would go with the Treks. I got my little brother, all 6'4" 285 pounds up on it and he was shacking it, bouncing on it and no drama at all. I wouldn't dare do that with some of the other racks on the market.

IMO, the Gobi is the most well thought out.

Get a hold of David at Apha Expedition. He's got the best deals and sells a lot of these.

I found some. Now remember that this is a preproduction rack. They plan on making the rear support bar a little taller so the rack sits more flush with the top. This is still bare steel also. They are planning on making there own basket too but did not have one available at the time to install. They say the rack will have tabs for lights on the front and set up to run the wires inside of the front brace down into the cowl area.

Below is their optional lader installed.

This is my little (bigger) brother who weighs in at 285 pounds and he was jumping and moving side to side on it and there was no sqeeks, rattles, banging, etc. Very well built even for a preproduction piece.
