From what I have read - it's pretty safe to say that if you already have some slight alignment or worn component issues present on your jk a lift of any kind is going to enhance these problems especially the taller you go. That and of course if a lift was installed incorrectly, creating these issues. Fixing these problem/ replacing these components and properly aligning is going to take away the DW. The components found in the 3.5 series II kit will lift your jeep and provide the correct geometry on your components. It is just that there are better ways to properly correct the steering geometry - these parts add costs to the lift and the RC 3.5 is pretty darn inexpensive considering what you get in the kit. Some folks have had issues with additional brackets used to correct steering geometry when lifting, does that mean they had issues before the lift
"who knows, only time would tell that story" - but does these brackets add stress to already stressed areas - yes it seems they do. Is it a safer bet to get an adjustable track bar, sure. Longer brake lines, sure. New Front cv drive shaft, sure. Adjustable lower control arms - well I don't see the need if this kit is designed for these length control arms (read corrected castor) & 35" tires and that is all you plan on doing to your jeep. Can you add more lift over time
can you get adjustable control arms at a later date
Does that make this kit any less desireable...not if you don't need em it doesn't.
But there are people who have this kit, installed correctly with all of the supplied parts and pieces with no problems what so ever... all supplied kit components installed and for 500 bucks to boot! All of their existing components would seem were in good shape to begin with, and everything was installed correctly and so they continue to enjoy there jeep
. Some of us are
(or on a tight budget) but want our jeeps to look and perform better...for a lot less coin than some other manufacturers are charging for their lift kits. I can get this kit, add an adjustable track bar and get tires and brake lines all for less than 2 grand. 2 Grand is cheaper in comparison to some other kits never mind adding tires to the mix ..
So it just comes down to $ sometimes. I can justify a $500 lift and then some add on components to suit my needs as they arise. I can't seem to justify a $1600+ lift that still needs shocks and a driveshaft.. my need to go offroad with more clearance is there and a kit like this will allow me to get there with 35" tires all that much sooner. Some can hand out the $ to buy a more expensive or more complete kit to suit their needs on the first pass and not look back...I need to do some of my upgrades over time but I want my lift and tires right now.. I can do that with this kit and fit my budget. I applaud RC for releasing a kit at this price that has all of the necessary components to properly address all of these areas, and they have other kits that have more components as well...

I have the 3.5" series II and experienced DW after it was put on. I know the issue is with my track bar and plan on correcting soon. I also noticed as soon as lift was put on the right rear seemed to be sagging. After investigating i notided the seat for the rear spring was tilted back due to new geometry of the lift. This can be corrected with the rear spring degree wedges which should straighten the springs out. Once I correct these two issues I should be golden. I am ordering Rock Krawler track bar and some degree wedges and will post soon with results.
I'm glad I found this thread as I am now actively looking a this lift for my 4dr.
I do have reservations due to the hit and miss reviews here but am still looking in to pricing and availability in my area and HOPEFULLY everything will be fine.
I can only hope that if any issues arise I can contact Rough Country and get them resolved without issue.
Thank you for putting a resonably affordable and functional lift on the market for us middle of the road income users.

Installed 3.5" series II last Friday along with dual stabilizer and 35" MT Baha Claws, 1.5" spacers with stock Rubi wheels. I would say ride is much smoother on "wash board" dirt roads. Have had the jeep around 70 to 75 and no DW. Very happy with lift.
Other than tires (Federal M/T's) -this is exactly what my jeep is going to look like before the end of the summer. Auto or Manual? If auto, how is the gearing with the tires? sorry for the hijack....
